Coming from a legacy of teachers, Mrs. Hobbs has been teaching since 2005 and has been at Booker T. Washington High School since 2013.
Since 2013, Mrs. Hobbs has made a tremendous impact on her students by going above and beyond to ensure their success.
Two of her former students shared:
“Mrs.Hobbs was my first math teacher at Washington, where I was introduced to the confusing world of algebra. She was pretty hard on us as her students, but mainly because she wanted us to do well in her class and in life in general. Mrs. Hobbs taught me that you actually had to work for what you wanted out of anything. There was a point where I found myself slipping in her class, so she would stay back after school and work with me. Helping me to pass her class with an A! She definitely was one of my favorites!” -London Hornsby ‘20
“Mrs. Hobbs taught me how to manage my academics and athletics . She kind of forced me to excel in both because her classes were accelerated.” -Vachon Raye ‘20
