Question: How did Dr. Shirlene Blasingame Carter have an impact on you? “

Dr. Shirlene Blasingame Carter came to Booker T. Washington fresh out of college. We (BTW Class of 1982) were her first students. Dr. Carter has always been stern but nurturing and she still supports her students to this day.  Even as the former Principal of Southside High, now known as Maynard Jackson High School, Dr. Carter’s leadership births leaders that we now have throughout Atlanta Public Schools.” – Valerie Williams ‘82
