Since 2012, Candice Henry has continuously created an upbeat learning environment in her classroom that activates engagement and supports each student’s development. Deeply rooted in Horace Mann’s educational philosophy of education as the “great equalizer,” Ms. Henry teaches her students that not only can a great education never be taken away from them, but they could also use education as a springboard to continue down their path.
