😂 Graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1981.
😂 While working at Frito-Lay, a man reached out to Bruce and encouraged him to try stand-up. The man listened to his jokes and gave Bruce advice. “When I got on that stage for the first time I knew that comedy was my path” said Bruce Bruce.
😂 In the early 1990s Bruce was able to land a regular gig performing in Atlanta at the Comedy Act Theater.
😂 While performing at the Comedy Act Theater Bruce caught the eye of one of BET’s Coast to Coast talent scouts and ultimately landed a spot on Def Comedy Jam in 1992. love
😂 In 1994, Bruce appeared on Showtime at the Apollo, hosted by comedian Steve Harvey.
😂 In 1996, he appeared in Quad City DJ’s “Come On Ride the Train” music video.
😂 Bruce’s career started to boom and he landed many more shows and later got the name Mayor of Comedy.
😂 Bruce received over-the-top ratings for his performance as host of BET’s tenth anniversary Comic View show in 2001 scored him a return engagement to host the same show in 2002.
😂 In 2001, Bruce landed the part of DeWayne, a rent-a-cop, in the feature film The Wash, alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. 😂 In 2003, Comedy Central honored Bruce by showcasing his talents on its Comedy Central Presents: Bruce Bruce Show.
😂 In 2004, Bruce played the role of Lime Pimp in the movie Hair Show, and the role of Maurice in xXx: State of the Union in 2005 with Willem Dafoe and Ice Cube.
😂 In 2005 Bruce Bruce publishes his autobiography titled, Baby James Brown, which detailed his life and dispensing hilarious observations about it.
😂 Bruce became a regular host of a new show, BET’s Coming to the Stage in 2005.
😂 Today Bruce Bruce is still doing what he loves the most, touching the lives of others through laughter. He is still a very praised comedian as one of the nations best stand-up comedians.
