Question: What Impact has Ms. Wynn made on BTW? “The impact that Marcie Wynn has made on the students and institution of BTW is second to none! Ms. Wynn personifies class and elegance. Whether it’s homecoming, graduation, Visions, Senior Recognition or leading the AKA Cotillion, no one does it better! Ms. Wynn is the standard barrier for commencement throughout APS! Ms. Wynn has kept the flame of the legacy and traditions of BTW burning for over twenty (20) years. Ms. Wynn has been under the leadership of seven (7) principals and ALL of them leaned on and trusted her leadership when it came to all things Booker T. Washington High School. Her impact of ensuring that the traditions of BTW is never compromised is priceless!” -Valerie Williams “Ms. Wynn has taught countless young women on the BTW Auxiliary to always carry themselves with class and respect. A few things she never let us do were: perform out of uniform (teaching us responsibility); wear skimpy outfits/uniforms (teaching us self-respect), and; misbehave in class (teaching us to have dignity both on and off the field.) As a result, I have carried many of those lessons over into both my personal and professional lives and I, as well as many of my teammates, can primarily attribute that to Ms. Wynn.” -Dontea’ Mitchell-Hunter ’08
