Graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1982.
Participated in drama at BTW under Ms. Bobbie Judson and took on a few projects with Atlanta University and Clark College in radio.
Attended Knoxville College for a short period of time and ultimately went on to get a degree in Film/Video from Columbia College in Chicago.
Good’s passion is writing and she is currently working on three books: One is about her cancer journey; another is a book or poetry and musings, and; another is a joint project with her twenty year-old daughter, Cairo.
“Before auditioning for and being cast as Maya in “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings,” I had no idea black people really acted. Outside of the roles I saw in movies like Gone With the Wind and Imitation of Life, I didn’t really have a sense as a child of us in film/television.” – Ms. Constance Good
